Brief description…

Southern coast of Sri Lanka has been attracting turtles to lay eggs for a long time. But due to human idiocies the turtles have abandoned most beaches except for the very few beaches where locals have come together in conserving these extraordinary creatures. The stretch of beach in Balapitiya is one such area. There are several voluntary conservation centers established in the area. These conservation centers are open for willing wildlife enthusiasts to watch and learn about these beautiful creatures, while sponsoring for a great cause at the same time.

The guided tour through the compound lasting about 30 minutes will explain all about these beautiful creatures and also about the conservation process.
