Brief description…
Madu river grows into a large lagoon shortly before meeting the ocean at Balapitiya. The slow flow of the river has resulted in mixing of ocean water up stream into the lagoon, hence resulting in very unique fauna and flora to be present in the reign. Mangroves covering the shores together with the favorable water flow has made the entire reign a natural Shrimp farm.
